Best Practices for Downloading & Installing

Most FoodPharmacy clients do not experience any problems downloading and installing FoodPharmacy&trade Software on their local computers. But there have been a few clients who reported issues which we have been able to quickly resolve. The following list contains best practices which, when followed, will help you avoid issues with downloading and installing FoodPharmacy Software.

  1. Download the installer and then run it, instead of running from the Web location
    Most Internet browsers give you the option of downloading a file or opening it from a Web site location. To avoid possible installer errors, it is better to download the FoodPharamcy Software installer, save it to your computer, and then run the installer from the saved location.
  2. Some anti-virus software prevents FoodPharmacy Software from communicating with FoodPharmacy.com
    FoodPharmacy Software must communicate with the FoodPharamcy.com Web site to validate it's software license. Some anti-virus applications block calls FoodPharamcy Software makes to the Internet and prevents the license from being validated. Avoiding this problem depends on your anti-virus software. Possible solutions are to:
    • Train your anti-virus software to permit the calls FoodPharmacy Software makes to the Internet
    • Explicitly add FoodPharmacy Software to your anti-virus software's "trusted applications" list
